Jenny Caswell

Jenny Caswell is a painter based in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she works out of her studio in the ArtWorks collective and exhibits in multiple regional shows each year. 

She earned her BFA from Lake Forest College and an MFA in Painting from Northwestern University, where

she refined her practice and deepened her technical foundation. 

Her work often draws inspiration from natural forms and painterly traditions, while remaining open to experimentation

and intuition. This balance of discipline and spontaneity gives her paintings a distinctive surface vitality and emotional resonance. 

Beyond the studio, Caswell is a co-founder of Cape Fear Art Exchange, a nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainability and accessibility in the arts. The initiative transforms donated materials into affordable art supplies, supporting artists, educators, and students across the Cape Fear region.
